Moscow leads the world in hotel room service charges

From it's ridiculously priced yet still awful restaurants to its Euro trash-inspired fashions, Moscow has some fantastic ways to screw over travelers, and its hotels lead the way for many other industries.

Hotel extras, such as food, drinks and dry cleaning, cost more in Moscow than in any other major city, new research has shown. The survey, carried out by the website TripAdvisor, compared the total cost of several items – a club sandwich, peanuts, water and a cocktail ordered on room service, and the dry cleaning of a single shirt – in four-star hotels around the world.
