After some confusion on visitor counts over a data glitch at airport kiosks across the country, international arrivals in the United States are on track to break a record in 2018. We’ll see if long-term growth ends up being as robust as the federal government is touting.

The U.S. Department of Commerce released a cheerful forecast of international visitation to the United States for the next five years after suspending visitor data earlier this year over a computer glitch and revising past data. The Commerce Department's latest projections, released this week, show that more than 95 million international travelers will visit the United States in 2023.
