As luxury cruise brands become more tech-savvy, and consumers get access to new 3D technology, expect more apps to show off the experiential aspect of cruising through interactive media.

It's not quite a step into The Matrix, but Azamara Club Cruises has launched its first mobile app and it features a virtual reality rendering of ship amenities and destination experiences.
