Survey: Big spenders among business travelers from Asia-Pacific

Hospitality operator Accor’s survey found that Indians and Singaporeans spent the most on hotels per trip, while Australians paid the most nightly for a room. And, while India lagged way behind, Thai women had the highest rate of business travel in the region.
NEW DELHI: Indian business travellers are among the top spenders along with Singaporeans in the Asia Pacific, according to a survey by Accor.
Indian travellers have one of the highest hotel budgets in Asia-Pacific, spending an average of USD 399 per trip, the Accor Asia-Pacific Business Traveler Survey 2012 said.
Only the Singaporeans spend more, averaging USD 468 per trip, it added.
