Qantas Says Hackers Posted Stolen Data on 5.7 Million Customers

The Australian airline revealed Sunday that data on millions of Qantas customers just spilled out onto the dark web.
Hackers have leaked personal data from 5.7 million Qantas customers, the airline said Sunday, the latest fallout from a June cyberattack that compromised companies worldwide and triggered ransom demands.
Qantas had until Saturday to pay an undisclosed ransom, but when the deadline passed, a hacker group known as Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters went ahead and dumped the data onto the dark web, The Guardian reported.
The airline said in a statement on its website that the majority of data was limited to name, email address, and frequent flyer data. It said that credit card and passport information was not included.
