Norwegian Cruise Line’s new dining package won’t ‘wow’ passengers

The package combines reservations of three on-board restaurants for a $3 saving, but the cruise line should focus more on new menu items like local or organic meals to really get passengers talking, or caring.
Norwegian Cruise Line today unveiled a new dining package that offers savings at three shipboard restaurants.
The Signature Trio package includes a dinner at a steakhouse, French bistro and Italian restaurant for a combined total of $47 per person.
Norwegian normally charges $25 per person for its shipboard steakhouses, $15 for its French bistros and $10 for its Italian eateries, for a total of $50 for all three, so the package saves just $3 per person. But a spokesperson says the bigger value of the package lies in its convenience.
