American Airlines Lowers 2025 Outlook

American, like many other U.S. airlines, is lowering its profit forecast for the year. However, the carrier noted that domestic demand was starting to strengthen.
American Airlines restored its guidance for 2025, but is now forecasting a lower profit for the year.
The carrier is now adjusted expecting earnings per share for the year to range from a profit of 80 cents to a loss of 20 cents, down from previous estimates of $1.70 to $2.70 made in January. Previously, American, along with many other U.S. airlines, had pulled its 2025 guidance, citing macroeconomic uncertainty.
