United Airlines Bounces Back After Rocky Start to 2025

United’s positive third-quarter results come after it lowered its profit forecast for the year.
United Airlines reported a profit for the third quarter as CEO Scott Kirby said demand is improving during the last three months of the year.
The carrier’s profit was still down slightly, by 1.7%, for the third quarter compared to the same time last year. But United also reported an operating revenue of $15.2 billion, a 2.6% increase.
United said premium revenues were up 6%
