Airbnb Wants to Stock Your Vacation Kitchen

Airbnb will test grocery stocking through Instacart in three U.S. cities. The move signals another step in its bid to expand beyond accommodations.

Airbnb will pilot a grocery delivery and kitchen-stocking service with Instacart in Phoenix, Orlando, and Los Angeles.

The trial begins January 5 and continues for three months, according to an email inviting select hosts to participate.

In a statement provided to Skift, a company spokesperson said, “We are regularly testing new product updates, categories, and initiatives in order to provide the best possible experience for our community.”

How the Pilot Works

Guests can use Airbnb’s app to place Instacart orders up to three weeks before arrival.
