United Sees ‘Measurable Negative Impact’ in the Caribbean After Venezuela Strikes

In the weeks since the U.S. conducted strikes in Venezuela, United chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella said there has been an impact to bookings to the Caribbean.

United Airlines said it has seen a “measurable negative impact” on bookings to the Caribbean following the U.S. strikes on Venezuela. 

“As we look into 2026, we do have this Caribbean situation which is impacting the numbers there,” said United chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella during a call with analysts on Wednesday. “So I'm going to be careful what I say about the Caribbean. We still think it could be positive but it's going to be close. But we are looking for sequential improvement everywhere.”
