Saudi’s Red Sea Airport Aims for 50:50 Split Between Domestic and International Travelers

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Airport plans to balance its passenger mix between domestic and international travelers, aiming for a 50:50 split by the end of 2026, as it expands hotel capacity, airlift, and route connectivity.

Currently, 80% of its travelers come from Saudi Arabia, according to Michael White, Chief Commercial Officer. 

“With connectivity to Europe and a wider indirect network, we hope to finish this year with an even split between domestic and international markets,” White told Skift.
