November was the third consecutive month that U.S. arrivals to South America decreased or were flat from the previous year and the fourth -- albeit non-consecutive -- month of declines in U.S. arrivals to the Caribbean in 2016. Some 2.3 million U.S. citizens traveled abroad in November, reflecting no change from the number of U.S. overseas trips in November 2015, according to monthly statistics released this week by the U.S. National Travel and Tourism Office.
