Hilton CEO Chris Nassetta predicts a recovery in U.S. hotel spending, including by middle-class travelers. He says the multi-year growth will be driven by more business investment, falling interest rates, and greater tax certainty.

Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta expects the U.S. hotel sector to perform better over the next few years, thanks to a convergence of positive economic factors.

"I would bet a lot of money that '26 is going to be better than '25, and I bet a lot of money '27 is going to be better than '26," Nassetta said. "We're feeling good about the business and feeling good about where the future is going."

Speaking on Wednesday during an earnings call, Nassetta predicted that several factors would align to stimulate business investment. He argued that these trends will benefit the middle class as much as upscale travelers, boosting overall U.S. travel activity.

"There are a lot of really good things going on," Nassetta said. "Inflation is definitely coming down. [Interest] rates are coming down, with an expectation that rates will continue to come down."
