Chalet Hotels On Testing Its Own Brand Muscle With Athiva

Despite the launch of its own premium brand Athiva, Chalet Hotels is sticking to its core model as a hotel developer and owner. But that does not mean an asset-light model is not possible in the future.

In its latest earnings call, Chalet Hotels outlined its next phase of growth through Athiva Hotels and Resorts, its new premium lifestyle hospitality brand. The announcement comes as the company looks to evolve from a hotel asset owner into a brand-led hospitality platform.

The brand, first unveiled last month, made its debut with the relaunch of The Dukes Retreat in Khandala as Athiva Resort & Spa, Khandala. During the call on Wednesday, CEO and Managing Director Sanjay Sethi said the launch marks “a milestone in our collective journey, taking Chalet from a successful portfolio of assets to a fully integrated brand-led hospitality platform.”

Chalet also revealed details of five additional properties that will come under the Athiva brand:

Athiva, Navi Mumbai Athiva Resort & Spa, Aksa Beach Athiva Resort & Spa, Varca, Goa Athiva Resort & Spa, Bambolim, Goa Athiva Resort & Convention Centre, Thiruvananthapuram
