You can't solve the world's problems on Twitter, but you can at least let them know you are listening.

Airlines are going to have to do some additional pilot hiring to cope with the new pilot rest rules and inclement weather, which isn't so out of the norm in the Northeast, where JetBlue operations are concentrated. It is hard to believe that JetBlue might not have done more to reduce the extent of the disruption that its passengers are facing over the next few days.

The new FAA rules on pilot rest could lead to more flight delays and cancellations, but ensuring that pilots in the cockpit aren't nodding off because they are excessively tired is sensible and worth it.

With new, international destinations slated to begin in 2014, Southwest will need this fuel savings and all of the efficiencies it can find.

Cross-country plane rides to one-hour train commutes will be impacted by weather Thursday evening. It is likely only the first of several large-scale delays to be caused by weather this year.

The surprise stunts started out sweet, but after a few too many airline videos, it begins to look like corporations are taking advantage of people's unfortunate situations to make a name for themselves. And the disparity between what corporations can provide and what they usually do becomes more apparent.
