Spirit Airlines said Monday it reached an agreement with its creditors to immediately receive $50 million as part of its third draw from its debtor-in-possession financing, giving the beleaguered ultra-low-cost carrier an essential lifeline.
Initially, the agreement provided for Spirit to receive $100 million in the third tranche of its $450 million DIP financing that was approved by a U.S. bankruptcy court judge.
