TBO’s North America Deal Begins to Show Up in the Numbers

The Classic Vacations acquisition hands TBO a new distribution footprint. It brings higher-value bookings and deep industry relationships. But that also means that TBO’s numbers will look messy until the integration is done.
For years, TBO Tek has operated quietly in the background of the travel industry. Its marketplace connects travel agents to flights, hotels, and packages from suppliers worldwide — essential infrastructure that most travelers never notice but many agents rely on.
On Wednesday, when TBO reported third-quarter results, the company suddenly looked much larger. The big jump didn’t come from a surge in travel demand but from the addition of Classic Vacations, the luxury wholesaler TBO acquired in September.
TBO said combined revenue from operations was INR 7.8 billion ($86 million) for the quarter, compared to INR 5.6 billion ($62 million) in the prior quarter.
