Aspen One says hotel sustainability efforts fall short without lobbying and system change.
Aspen One has opened two of the largest all-electric hotels in the United States, eliminating on-site fossil fuel use from hundreds of guest rooms and large-scale banquet kitchens.
Limelight Mammoth opened in December 2025 with 149 guestrooms, including 25 suites.
Limelight Boulder opened in October 2025 on the University of Colorado campus and includes 252 guestrooms, 42 of them suites, plus 26,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Aspen One, which also runs private clubs and manages four ski mountains, believes Limelight Boulder is the largest all-electric hotel in the United States.
Both properties use heat pumps for heating, induction cooktops in their kitchens, and ultra-efficient building designs. The hotels are also solar and geothermal-ready, meaning infrastructure is in place to add on-site renewable generation as t
