How Meta’s New AI Model Could Change Travel

Meta is building AI that could know travelers' social history and see their surroundings in real time. Google isn't there yet.
Meta just unveiled a new AI model that could reshape how travelers discover and navigate the world, potentially combining social history with real-time visual context.
The new version, Muse Spark, is the first model built by Meta's superintelligence team, and it's already rolling out across meta.ai and the Meta AI app. If it follows the Meta AI assistant into Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, as well as smart glasses, it could drive an expansion of the tech ecosystem deeper into travel discovery.
Meta AI already runs across those platforms, where billions of users discover destinations, share trip photos, and message travel providers. Muse Spark's capabilities flowing to those surfaces would mean Meta could tighten its grip on travel discovery at the moment when inspiration and intent form.
The company called Muse Spark "the first step on our scaling ladder and the first product of a ground-up overhaul of our AI efforts." The model can pro
