Hilton: Asia Pacific Still Has Room for More Luxury Hotels – Exclusive

Skift Take

The long-term story in Asia Pacific isn't ultra-luxury. It's the expanding middle class, moving up the travel ladder and willing to pay for it.

Hilton will introduce eight new luxury and lifestyle brands into new markets across Asia Pacific this year, with more than 15 hotel openings planned in 2026.

Nomad and Signia by Hilton will be making their Asia Pacific debuts with Nomad Singapore and Signia by Hilton Tainan in Taiwan. Canopy by Hilton will be making its Southeast Asia debut in Bangkok. Curio Collection and LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut in South Asia in Bengaluru, India. Waldorf Astoria and Conrad will also debut in Malaysia. Tapestry Collection by Hilton will see its Vietnam launch.

“Today, the investment environment is strengthening amid optimism that strong travel demand and evolving traveler preferences will offset global economic volatility,” said Alan Watts, Hilton’s president for Asia Pacific. “Our own pipeline reflects that optimism. Hilton signed more than 350 properties in AsiaPacific in 2025 and entered 2026 with the largest global pipeline in our history.”
