Hollywood mogul Ari Emanuel is betting on sports tourism’ continued growth with the launch of a new global events and experiences company called Mari.
Initial assets in the holding company’s portfolio include international tennis events spanning from Miami to Madrid to Macau, as well as contemporary art organization Frieze, and a majority ownership interest in Barrett-Jackson, a collector car auction and automotive lifestyle brand.
The launch comes as live tourism – or travel for major events and experiences – is surging, with travelers planning trips around major spectacles like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour or the FIFA World Cup.
