United is overhauling its MileagePlus program to give more awards to those with the carrier’s credit cards as it looks to attract more high-spend travelers.
United announced Thursday it is making major changes to its loyalty program, offering more points to those with one of the carrier’s co-branded credit cards.
For tickets purchased on and after April 2, customers who have a United credit card will earn twice the amount of miles per dollar on flights compared to non-cardholders. Those who purchase their tickets with a United credit card will earn even more miles.
