Air Canada will “gradually restart” its flying program after reaching a tentative deal with its flight attendants union.

The flag carrier’s network has been disrupted since August 14 amid a major dispute over terms and conditions. A full shutdown began on August 16, with more than 500,000 passengers affected.

In a statement early on Tuesday, Air Canada confirmed it had reached a settlement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) after a mediated process. The carrier says it will not comment
