At the Skift Global Forum, Saudi Tourism Authority CEO Fahd Hamidaddin talked extensively about the country's transformational tourism journey that is rooted in sustainability.
Speaking at the Skift Global Forum Wednesday, Saudi Tourism Authority CEO and Board Member Fahd Hamidaddin said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been the “fastest growing destination in the world for the past six years,” and yet, it has not started.
“And the reason why I say we haven't started is because usually they say build the destinations and they'll come. And our Giga projects have not yet opened. They also say global national airlines build the destinations. And you had a session earlier today with Riyadh Air that has not started. I also sit on the board of Saudia and Saudi Airlines just bought 130 new airplanes. That's a whole new airline from scratch, and we're launching two other airlines in the coming couple of years. So airlines hasn't started,” he said, while speaking with Skift CEO and Rafat Ali.
