Mews Acquires AI Housekeeping Platform Flexkeeping

Mews founder Richard Valtr talks to Skift about Flexkeeping, the company’s 13th acquisition, and how it fits into the platform.
Mews just scooped up its 13th acquisition, with the cloud-based hotel management platform adding the connected-housekeeping startup Flexkeeping to the fold for an undisclosed amount.
The companies plan to announce the deal later on Tuesday.
The acquisition brings a new category to Mews. Although it hosts plenty of housekeeping services across its marketplace — dozens that specialize in it, and up to 100 or more that offer housekeeping functionality along with other features — Flexkeeping will become its first direct offering of this type.
“Housekeeping is this kind of connective tissue between the back-of-the house processes and all of the different things that [hotels] need to do, plus the fulfillment of guest wishes,” Richard Valtr, founder of Mews, told Skift.
