Brand USA Lays Off 15% of Staff, Shuts Down Streaming Service: Scoop

Brand USA's downsizing was almost inevitable after Congress torpedoed its funding this summer. Whether it can be effective in promoting tourism given the U.S. political climate remains to be seen.

Brand USA has laid off 15% of its staff and reorganized operations after its federal funding was cut by 80% in July in the "One Big Beautiful" tax and spending law.

The job cuts haven't been previously reported and include 12 layoffs across several departments and job categories.

Brand USA has also shut down GoUSA TV, its ad-supported streaming service that promotes in-bound tourism on platforms such as Roku, Apple TV and YouTube.
